Rosenkogel via Sommertörl

The contemplative
From Sommertörl it is a short easy hike to the Rosenkogel (1359m). From spring to autumn the hike offers special charms. In June, the alpine bush blooms on the eastern slopes below the summit. In summer you can look for mushrooms and in autumn ripe blackberries and cranberries. At the end of the hike there is the possibility to stop at the Sommeralm - limited opening.

Highlight: Lorettochapel, summit cross on the Rosenkogel

From the parking lot Sommertörl the slightly ascending hiking trail leads via the Lorettokapelle to the Rosenkogel, 1359m, a peak on the sunny side of the NiederenTauern. The descent is via the well-marked hiking trail back to the forest road we already know and subsequently back to Sommertörl.

Access to the Sommerthörl from St. Oswald is partially not possible due to the winter closure, but the hike can also be started from St. Oswald and is accessible despite the winter closure.
