Gray Stone - Kalter Brunnweg, Strallegg

This hike takes you from the flower village of Strallegg up with beautiful views into the Feistritztal and back to the village. After about 150 hm you come to the “Grauen Steinwand” and then along the Kalten Brunnweg to the Posch snack station.
The tour starts in the flower village of Strallegg. The floral decorations in the Strallegg area are worth seeing in summer.

Strallegg is located in the East Styrian mountains. The municipal area rises from around 600 meters in the southwest to over 1000 meters.
 
By car:
From Graz: via the A2 (towards Vienna) to the Gleisdorf-West exit, follow the B54 to Weiz, then continue on the B72 towards Ratten, Strallegg
 
From Vienna: via the A2 (towards Graz) to the Gleisdorf-West exit, follow the B54 to Weiz, then continue on the B72 towards Ratten, Strallegg

  • We hike from the village square along the yellow marked path number 13, uphill through the forest to the Hubertus Cross on the Grauer Stein
  • We then hike past the Parma Cross along the Kalten Brunnweg to the Posch snack station
  • Go back the same way or path no. 17 back to the starting point.
A great excursion destination on this route is the rock painting and stone museum. The Gasthof Almblick provides culinary delights.
