From Vienna the A2-Südautobahn to Wr. Neustadt; the S6 Semmering expressway to St. Michael i. Upper Styria; the S 36 to Judenburg; the B96 via Scheifling to Teufenbach; via the Neumarkter Sattel to St. Lambrecht.

From Graz and Linz take the A9-Pyhrnautobahn to St. Michael i. Upper Styria; the S 36 to Judenburg; the B96 via Scheifling to Teufenbach; via the Neumarkter Sattel to St. Lambrecht.

From Salzburg take the A10 Tauern motorway to St. Michael i. Lungau; the B96 via Murau to St. Lambrecht.

From Klagenfurt take the S 37 to Neumarkt; via Mariahof to St. Lambrecht.

This circular hiking trail leads clockwise around St. Lambrecht. After starting at St. Lambrecht Abbey, you go up to the outdoor swimming pool and on to the “Mariazeller Linde”. At the gorge you stick to the lower path and follow the paved path to Heiligenstadt. After the church and the farm, turn right to the gas station. From there you go up to Weißenbach. We continue towards the valley station of the Grebenzen ski area and there on the upper side of the Pabstinteich. Then it goes via the school center into the suburbs. The final loop takes us over the Trattenhof, over the Hohe Brücke and past the gorge back to the starting point.
Pay particular attention to the different perspectives of the impressive Benedictine monastery of St. Lambrecht. To find out more, you can also go on guided tours of the Benedictine monastery in winter. Also take a detour to the monastery garden, which is particularly peaceful in winter.
