Trailland Tour from Wenigzell, Wenigzell

Starting from Wenigzell, the circular tour leads to a special highlight for bikers in the Joglland - Waldheimat region: the region's first bike park, the Trailland in Miesenbach!
The Trailland Tour connects several top excursion destinations in the Joglland - Waldheimat region. From Wenigzell we first go to the trailland and then (with a short detour) to the wild meadow with the observation tower and the popular wild meadow hut. In addition, a large part of the route leads on the region's MTB route - the "Der grosse Jogl" tour. This is a special tip for everyone who hasn't had enough of biking yet, because there are 193 kilometers of cycling pleasure waiting for you!

From Vienna: via the A2, exit Pinggau - Friedberg, Rohrbach an der Lafnitz, Mönichwald, Waldbach, Wenigzell From Graz: via the A2, exit Gleisdorf, Kaindorf, Pöllau bei Hartberg, Schloffereck, direction Vorau, left after the Kreuzwirt to Wenigzell

Detailed information on how to get there can be found here.
  • We start the Trail Land Tour at the village square in Wenigzell. Here we already ride along the “Der große Jogl” route, so we can also follow these signs until the crossroads after the Kreuzwirt inn
  • In Wenigzell, we ride past the parish church and the Joglland Oasis until we reach the local history museum
  • Here we turn left and follow the path to the former Bergler Stub'n inn
  • Shortly afterwards, we come to the well-known “Toter Mann” crossroads
  • We keep left again and follow the path and the signs to the Spielhofer cross
  • Here we turn left again and continue until we reach the center of Miesenbach
  • In Miesenbach, we can take a short break at one of the inns or cafés and fortify ourselves for the onward journey
  • Turn left at the parish church and then right at the third fork in the road
  • We now follow the path in the direction of the Hornschmied mill
  • There we turn right into a wooded area, at the end of this wooded area we continue to Gasthof Wiesenhofer
  • The first bike park in Eastern Styria, Trailland, is also located here
  • We immediately test our riding skills on the various trails
  • We continue on, still following the signs for “Der große Jogl”
  • Once again we ride through several sections of forest and come to the so-called Wolfgrube and then to the Schlofferek (with a wonderful view of the neighboring region of the Pöllau Valley)
  • We now take the country road to the Kreuzwirt, where we turn left and follow the road, which leads us back to the “Toter Mann” crossroads
  • From here, the same route leads us back to our starting point in Wenigzell
A climb to the approximately 36 meter high observation tower on the wild meadow is rewarded with a view all the way to Hungary!
