Hike to the Kreuzbergwarte (630m) with a magnificent panoramic view from the Koralm to the Hungarian lowlands and back to Großklein via the Kohlberg-Lassenberg-Karberg area.
As early as the Hallstatt period (8th - 5th century BC), there was a settlement here covering about 20 hectares. The finds from this period point to the largest Hallstatt-period necropolis (= burial site) in the Eastern Alps, with around 3000 urn graves. The area was continuously inhabited.

Coming from the south, north, west and east on the A9 Phyrnautobahn - exit Leibnitz - continue in the direction of Kaindorf/S - Heimschuh - Großklein.
The hike begins at the Hallstatt Museum in Großklein - past the Großklein inns Steirerkeller, Wrolli-Edler and Wagner - towards Heimschuh. The trail continues to the Bierfranzlkappelle chapel and the Buschenschank Wölfl winery to the Kreuzbergwart. Over the Karsabathe past the Buschenschank Klopfer vulgo Glaserkeller winery and over the Kohlberg - Lassenberg - Karberg area back to the starting point.
Also visit the Hallstatt Museum and enjoy the magnificent view from the Kreuzbergwarte!
