Zetz-Round, Anger

Hike from the idyllic resort of Anger up to the Hohe Zetz.  A magnificent panoramic view awaits you at the summit. With a good distant view all the way to the Hungarian lowlands..
A somewhat more challenging hike that takes us to the Hohe Zetz the "local mountain" of the Angerer and Weizer at 1264m. Starts in Anger and leads first along the "Zetzbach" and then into a beautiful mixed forest. From here it goes steadily uphill. After leaving the forest, you walk on a meadow path to the Gschnaidter Kreuz a well-known wayside cross. Then you continue in the direction of Wittgruberhof. Here you have the opportunity to stop for a break. At the Wittgruberhof you will be spoiled with regional delicacies. Afterwards it is a bit more challenging to reach the summit - Hoher Zetz. If we are lucky, we will even encounter chamois. Along the whole way there are always wonderful views to enjoy.

From Hoher Zetz we descend to the Rauchstubenhaus and Gasthaus Almer. The 300 year old farmhouse high above Anger, was inhabited until 1967 and today houses with the "Rauchstubenhaus" a small local museum with rural exhibits. Guided tours take place several times a day from Thursday to Sunday.
