Ringwarte Hartberg
Hartberg
The view from the ring control room provides the most beautiful view of the Eastern Styrian hill country
The Ringwarte is a viewpoint tower with a height of 30 meters. 99 steps lead to the top of the tower, from where one has a fantastic panoramic view over the Eastern Styrian Hills.
It was built in 1906 by the then mayor Raimund Obendrauf, and in 2006, as part of the 100-year celebration, the entire facility around the observation tower was renovated and complemented with a new shelter.
The archaeological circular path at Ringkogel takes visitors along the former circular wall to six stations that provide information and visual material on the settlement history and the construction of this significant Celtic settlement.
At the rest area for the Ringwarte, the hut hostess Ulli Schantl provides food and drink. Contact for groups and advance bookings: +43 664 1520633
Children and families can look forward to a play tower combination with a suspension rope bridge and an 11-meter-long slide.
