MÜHLDORF Fischteichrunde: Hiking for young and old in Feldbach (MÜHLDORF Fischteichrunde)
Under the motto "Active together" there are 8 leisurely hikes in the districts of Feldbach, which are accompanied by local hikers on fixed dates.
Accompanied joint hike
The tour is not signposted in the open countryside. Hiking is recommended with the hiking guide, Outdooractive app or gpx data. The joint hike is accompanied by Helga Kirchengast (Tel.: 0676/843766600).
Dates: On the 1st Thursday at 2 pm in the months of February, April, June, August, October and December (except on holidays).
What is special about guided walks?
The gentle, steady motion of the hikes focuses our attention on our immediate surroundings and shows us the treasures that are waiting for us right outside our front door. Movement in nature strengthens our immune system, invigorates muscles, organs and circulation, and activates our brain. Each of the 8 hiking trails is accompanied by a person who knows the route and knows about the special features along the way and in the surrounding area. The conversations in the hiking group are an additional enrichment, according to the motto: "LIVE TOGETHER IN DIVERSITY!"

More information
Detailed information on how to get there can be found here.
Passing the Mühldorf Chapel on the right, we walk along the road and follow the arrow to the Vulkanland Fish Center. Arrived in the Taxberg forest, we look for a nice place to tune in: We mobilize the joints and with a few deep breaths we connect with nature. Leisurely and with our senses awake, we then walk along the Edelsbach stream, which meanders through the forest. Where it is accessible, a short rest on the bank is recommended. After about 40 minutes we reach the fish ponds, a refreshment stop for thirsty hikers. Now, behind the third pond, we go up a forest path on the left, at the top we keep left and walk along the road back to the starting point.
Character of the path
The mostly asphalt path with a short incline leads almost continuously through the forest. It is suitable for strollers, the route from the inn to the fish ponds and back is also suitable for wheelchairs.
At the fish ponds snack is available by reservation (Tel.: 0699/19567533). In the ponds are carp, trout, pike-perch, catfish and pike.
Detailed information about arriving by ÖBB (Austrian Federal Railways) can be found at www.oebb.at or on the Verbundlinie Steiermark website www.busbahnbim.at.
With Verbundlinie’s BusBahnBim route planner app, planning your journey has never been easier: simply enter towns and/or addresses, stop names or points of interest to check all bus, train and tram connections in Austria. The app is available free of charge for smartphones – on Google Play and in the App Store
Parking spaces are sufficiently available behind the FF Mühldorf.
