Ludersdorf banker's path (Ludersdorfer Bankerlweg)

"Do you come to sweat while hiking, take a bench to sit. Through forest and over Wiesn you can enjoy the beautiful Ludersdorf".
The Ludersdorfer Bankerlweg was built in 2020 on the initiative of Alois Ponstingl (Moar Luis). This very family-friendly hiking trail stretches for about 7.5 km through the communities of Gnas & Bad Gleichenberg in the thermal & volcanic country. The trail finds its start at the marked parking lot in the middle of Ludersdorf.

The Ludersdorfer Bankerlweg offers relaxation for body, mind and soul and is a soothing treat for young and old.

More information

Detailed information on how to get there can be found here.
Starting from the starting point, the hike leads with a slight climb to the mountain tavern PAUL. The path continues over the hill, through forest and meadow to the bark chapel. From there you can enjoy a panoramic view in all directions.

Throughout the forest it continues to the monument "Dollfuß-Warte", where again a magnificent view to Trautmannsdorf and surroundings opens up. Again the path leads through the forest and over a ditch with a staircase in the direction of Ludersdorf. After crossing the railroad crossing of the Gleichenberg railroad, we return to the starting point.

Plan enough time to enjoy the viewpoints in particular!
Arrival with the Gleichenberg train to Maierdorf. Timetables and travel information can be found directly at: Austrian Federal Railways (ÖBB), Steiermärkische Landesbahnen (STLB), www.busbahnbim.at.
