Unzmarkt-Frauenburg is a market town in the Murtal region, known for the historic castle ruins of Frauenburg, which were first mentioned in 1248 and can be visited today. The municipality offers many recreational opportunities, foremost the recreational park with a large natural swimming pond, playgrounds, tennis and beach volleyball facilities, as well as a café. Hiking and biking trails invite exploration of the beautiful alpine landscape. The medieval literature path tells the story of the minstrel Ulrich von Liechtenstein, who is connected to the castle. Unzmarkt-Frauenburg combines nature, history, and relaxation in a family-friendly atmosphere.
