Madl Milch

The Madl family's farm is located at the foot of the Seckau Alps at an altitude of 900 m and has been an approved school milk operation since 1998. The company supplies numerous schools and kindergartens as well as some stores, large kitchens, and inns with its milk. The farm is managed at the highest level under the ÖPUL program (Austrian Program for Environmentally Friendly Agriculture).  

This means that neither chemical fertilizers nor widespread chemical plant protection are used on the grassland areas.  Instead, the animals are kept in a manner that respects their well-being in a barn with constant access to the outdoors. The operation is also subject to regular inspections by Agrarmarkt Austria. Through these sustainable farming practices, the Madl family's farm contributes to the preservation of regional agriculture and food production. With its focus as an approved school milk operation, it plays an important role in supplying educational institutions in the region.
