Xterra Execution Triathlon
For the second time, the Xterra Full Race Triathlon will be held in Altaussee. Swimming, cycling, and running are the disciplines in this great sporting event.
Altaussee is again this summer venue for this special sporting event. Athletes from all over the world are participating in this sporting event at the foot of the Altausseer mountain Loser. The start for this triathlon is again at the Walter-Munk-Park (Lake Park) in Altaussee. After the three events swimming, cycling, and running, this year's finish is in Altaussee in the Kurpark.
The start for the triathlon is the blue inkwell, as the Altausseer See is fondly called by many writers. There is a 750-meter loop that the participants must swim twice. Out of the water and into the transition zone where the mountain bikes are already waiting for the individual riders.
The cycling route has changed slightly since last year. 17 kilometers with three aid stations through the forests and the town center of Altaussee will also be covered twice. After that, the last part of the Xterra Triathlon begins.
To conclude, the athletes can expect a 10-kilometer running course. This will lead towards Tressensattel like last year and then back again to Altaussee, where the finish is located directly in the Kurpark Altaussee.
The award ceremony will take place at 7:00 p.m. in the new Veranstaltungssaal Altaussee. The day will end with an afterparty featuring live music.
