End Time - Eichmann's Last Days of War
The play combines contemporary historical film sequences, live music, and performance art into an impressive work of remembrance culture.
Eichmann's Last Days of War
The film designer Gerald Singer processes excerpts from “Eichmann's Last Days of War" into a cinematic work of art about the tumult of war, Holocaust, and the collapse of the Nazi regime in the Ausseerland.
Musically, experimental electronic music, harp, klezmer, jazz, folk music, and the Altausseer church choir come together. Adelheid Picha and Franz Robert Wagner serve as chroniclers with distinctive voices throughout the piece that is presented in the Kur- und Congresshaus in Bad Aussee.
At the center is the Ausseerland at the end of the war in 1945 - a retreat for the Nazi elite, a repository for stolen art, a place of resistance, and a scene of chaos, flight, and uncertainty.
