A festive concert for the 200th birthday

Johann Strauss II, also known as the Waltz King, was a pop star of the 19th century. His lively melodies are being celebrated in full on his 200th birthday. Ildikó Raimondi, as well as Angelika and Mahdi Niakan, reflect on his life with anecdotes, stories, and above all, his timeless operetta melodies, as well as the sounds of his friends and admirers Johannes Brahms and Richard Wagner. The singers are accompanied by Laszlo Gyüker, the conductor of the Vienna Opera Ball Orchestra, on piano.
